Advantages of Rail Freight with Us
Economic Efficiency
Rail freight is significantly cheaper than air cargo, yet 2-3 times faster than sea delivery, particularly on China-Europe routes. This allows you to freeze less working capital in goods in transit while maintaining a competitive cost base for your rail freight shipping.
Reliability and Independence
Unlike sea and air, rail transportation services are virtually independent of weather conditions. Trains follow a strict schedule, guaranteeing high arrival accuracy (ETA). The cargo is sealed at the station of departure and travels to the destination without unnecessary handling.
Handling Any Volumes
We dispatch both full container trains (Block Trains) and single containers or wagons. For oversized structures and special machinery, we utilize open platforms and transporters—learn more about this in our Oversize Transport section.
Multimodal Approach
The railway rarely reaches the client’s warehouse directly. We organize the “last mile” by transferring containers to trucks for final Road Freight delivery. Our intermodal rail freight ensures a “door-to-door” service under a single contract.
How International Rail Cargo Services Are Organized
Logistics on rails requires precise coordination with infrastructure owners and rolling stock operators:
1. Request & Plan:
We agree on the route and the provision of rolling stock (container, covered wagon, platform) to the station.
2. Loading & Securing:
We organize the positioning of an empty container at the shipper’s warehouse or cargo acceptance at the station, controlling the securing scheme.
3. Transit & Monitoring:
The cargo proceeds along the route. We track the location of wagons in real-time.
4. Arrival & Release:
At the destination station, we handle customs clearance, pay station fees, and deliver the cargo to the receiver via Multimodal Transport.

Geography of Routes: Europe and Asia
Rail logistics is the circulatory system of continental trade.
From Europe to Central Asia
This is one of our key directions. We deliver industrial equipment, spare parts, and goods from Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Poland to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Railway transport on this leg allows for the transport of heavy shipments that are too expensive for trucks.
Transit from China (“New Silk Road”)
Accelerated container rail transport from China is a real alternative to the long sea route. Delivery time to terminals in Central Asia and Europe is approximately 14-20 days. This is the ideal option for electronics, auto parts, and clothing.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is more cost-effective: container or wagon?
For most goods, container rail transport (20’ and 40’) is more profitable, as it is easier to transfer to trucks. Covered wagons are used for Bulk Cargo or very large batches of raw materials.
Do you transport dangerous goods by rail?
Yes, railway freight services allow the transport of dangerous chemicals, but this requires preliminary approval from the railway administrations of all transit countries. We handle this via our Transportation of Dangerous Goods service.
How to track the cargo?
Each wagon or container is assigned a unique number. We provide daily reports on passing control points.
