Urgent delivery of premium cargo via a custom route
The company Lazarus Forwarding organized an urgent international delivery of a motor yacht from Italy to Norway by road.
The project required not just precise route calculation and permit coordination—it demanded absolute punctuality, as the client planned to commission the yacht by a specific date.

Route Geography
The route passed through all of Europe:
Italy – Austria – Germany – Denmark – Norway.
The total distance of the journey was over 2500 kilometers.
The transport was carried out using a specialized low-bed trailer, equipped with a shock absorption and securing system to protect the yacht’s hull from vibrations and mechanical damage.
Stage 1. Preparation: documents, dimensions, permits
To transport the yacht, it was necessary to obtain a set of special permits in each transit country, as the length and height of the cargo exceeded standard parameters.
The Lazarus team performed:
- measurement of the yacht and creation of a 3D model for route calculation;
- coordination of bridge heights, tunnels, and road sections;
- obtaining national permits for oversized cargo transport (including escorts and temporary movement windows);
- cargo and carrier liability insurance for up to 250,000 euros.
This preparation made it possible to avoid any bureaucratic delays and ensure the route launch within 24 hours of client approval.
Stage 2. Loading in Italy
The yacht was loaded in the northern part of Italy at a private marina.
Under the supervision of Lazarus engineers, the following were completed:
- installation of support beams and soft lashings to protect the hull;
- securing the structure on four axes;
- checking tilt angles and stability during movement;
- connection of GPS trackers for real-time monitoring.
After the client approved the loading report, the vehicle began its journey.
Stage 3. International transit: perfect coordination

Stage 4. Arrival and unloading in Norway
Unloading took place at the port of a coastal city in Norway, where the yacht was scheduled for maintenance and launching.
Given the specifics of the cargo—paintwork, glass panels, and precise hull geometry—unloading was carried out using soft slings and a dynamic lift to eliminate the slightest risks.
The entire process took less than 4 hours, after which the yacht was handed over to the client’s representative in perfect condition.
Control, security, and transparency
