Furniture Delivery from Italy to Kazakhstan

When European manufacturing precision meets Asian logistics reliability

A multimodal solution for delivery from eight factories in 25 days

Lazarus Forwarding has completed a major project for the delivery of furniture from Italy to Kazakhstan.

The main challenge was to coordinate loading at eight different factories, consolidate the cargo into a single shipment, and deliver it to the client exactly on time—in 25 days.

The project required meticulous coordination, a clear logistics plan, and flexibility in route management. A multimodal scheme was chosen, involving transshipment at a consolidation warehouse in Vilnius.

Project Scope

  • Route: Italy → Lithuania (Vilnius) → Kazakhstan (Astana / Almaty)
  • Cargo Type: Furniture and interior elements from eight Italian factories
  • Transport Type: Multimodal (Truck + Consolidation Warehouse + Truck)
  • Delivery Time: 25 days
  • Objective: Coordinate loading schedules and ensure a unified arrival without delays

Step 1. Route Planning and Factory Coordination

The project began with the development of a logistics plan and a loading calendar.

Since the furniture was shipped from different factories in Italy—each with its own production schedule—Lazarus organized centralized coordination.

The team prepared:

  • A master route sheet and time windows for each factory;
  • A quality control checklist for packing and labeling;
  • A cargo distribution plan for each transport unit;
  • An arrival schedule for all shipments at the transit warehouse in Vilnius.

This approach made it possible to avoid conflicts between shippers and synchronize loading without downtime.

Step 2. Loading at the Factories in Italy

Loading was carried out in stages from northern and central Italy.

Each batch of furniture underwent visual inspection, photo documentation, and packing according to Lazarus standards:

  • Use of protective corners, stretch film, and straps;
  • Labeling by factory and client article number;
  • Securing the cargo, taking into account weight and vehicle balance.

Separate transport documents were issued for each factory, after which the cargo was dispatched to the transit warehouse in Lithuania.

Step 3. Transshipment and Consolidation in Vilnius

At the Lazarus Forwarding warehouse in Vilnius, all eight batches of furniture were transshipped and consolidated.

This was a key stage of the multimodal scheme, where:

  • The cargo was inspected for packaging integrity;
  • Documents were cross-checked with the actual number of items;
  • Cargo was allocated to the specific routes and trucks destined for Kazakhstan;
  • Export declarations and transit documents were prepared.

Thanks to precise coordination and pre-prepared documents, the entire process took less than 48 hours, which allowed us to stay on schedule.

Step 4. Delivery to Kazakhstan

After consolidation in Vilnius, the cargo was dispatched to Kazakhstan by road.

The route passed through Poland, Belarus, and Russia (or through the Baltic states and then along the EAEU corridor, depending on the current border situation).

The Lazarus Secure Route™ system was active along the entire journey, providing:

  • 24/7 GPS monitoring;
  • Photo reports at transshipment stages;
  • Constant communication with drivers;
  • Daily updates for the client.

This format allowed the client to see the exact status of each truck and plan for the furniture’s arrival in Kazakhstan in advance.

Step 5. Unloading and Handover to the Client

Upon arrival in Kazakhstan, the cargo underwent a final inspection.

All batches of furniture arrived in perfect condition, with no damage or delays.

Unloading was carried out according to a pre-approved schedule, allowing the client to promptly distribute the goods to their sites.

Project Results

  • 8 Italian factories coordinated into a single logistics chain
  • Delivery completed in 25 days—exactly on time
  • Not a single damaged item—100% cargo integrity
  • The client received reports and photos for each stage

The project demonstrated that even with a large number of shippers and complex geography, Lazarus Forwarding ensures systemic accuracy and transparency at all levels.

Why clients choose Lazarus for transporting furniture and interior goods

  • Extensive experience in organizing transport for European furniture factories
  • Control over packing, labeling, and loading at every stage
  • Ability to consolidate orders from multiple factories into one shipment
  • Flexible multimodal logistics: Truck + Warehouse + Truck
  • Transparent communication and reporting for the client

Lazarus Forwarding doesn’t just transport furniture—we create logistics solutions that uphold our clients’ brand reputations.

Quality Control and Accountability

Every furniture delivery requires not only care but also predictability.

Lazarus applies its own Furniture Transport Control protocol, which includes:

  • Engineering calculations for loading;
  • Damage risk assessment;
  • Photo documentation during loading and unloading;
  • Contingency solutions for any changes in factory schedules.

This way, even if one factory delays a shipment, the entire project remains under control and stays on schedule.

Conclusion

The “Italy to Kazakhstan: Furniture Delivery” case study is an example of Lazarus Forwarding’s systematic approach to multimodal logistics.

We coordinated eight factories, transit through Vilnius, and delivery to Kazakhstan within a single route, maintaining precise deadlines and full transparency.

The client received the cargo in 25 days—exactly on time, confirming that reliable logistics begins with planning and ends with precise execution.

Lazarus Forwarding continues to develop its Europe–Central Asia routes, helping manufacturers and distributors solve complex logistics challenges without delays or risks.
